Why do I need Travel Insurance? Travel Insurance will cover you for those unfortunate eventualities that can happen when travelling. Our insurance will cover you for cancellation, medical expenses, damage or theft of personal belongings, plus much more. Check out the Cover Summary, for a full listing of cover and sums insured. When should I purchase Travel Insurance? As soon as you book your holiday you are at risk of having to cancel. Travel Staff Journeys Travel Insurance covers you for cancellation as soon as you take out a policy. Therefore it is important you purchase Travel Insurance at the same time as booking your holiday or soon after. When does the insurance start and finish? Cancellation cover commences from the date of issue of the Insurance Policy for single trip cover and date of commencement for Annual cover and expires upon commencement of the outward journey. What is an Excess Waiver? Most sections of cover are subject to an excess charge. This means when you make a claim you will have to pay the first £50 - £250 (depends under which sections you are claiming) per person, per claim. An Excess Waiver means for a small additional premium, paid at the time of purchasing the Insurance, we will delete the excess relating to a claim. (This is not applicable to annual multi-trips, hazardous activities). Can I upgrade my policy? Yes. This insurance has different levels of cover - Standard, Deluxe, Annual, as well as adding cover for wintersports or hazardous activities. You must decide which level of cover meets your needs. Journeys Travel Insurance has not offered you any advice, in your selection of cover. Please contact us for any upgrades you require. | ||
